For beauty and clarity to be revealed you need context.
Example: Diamond in setting.
The Family of God is the context where the Nature and Kingdom of God are best displayed.
Matthew 6:9 “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.”
Ephesians 3:1 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,…”
Many people think that Christianity is a belief system, but it’s really a belong system.
John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
The story of Hosea and Gomer. The preacher who married a prostitute.
Hosea:—deliverer, saviour
Gomer:— complete
Hosea 1:2 (NLT) “Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods.”
Hosea 3:1 (NLT) “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.”
This is an awkward beginning to a love story. Three Children Named:
Jezreel :— God Scatters Lo-Ruhamah :— No Mercy Lo-Ammi :— Not My People
2:14-15 “But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there. I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt.”
“I will win her back.” (NLT) “Therefore, behold, I will allure her…” (NKJV)
paw-thaw’:— To make room for oneself.
Hosea 2:16 “‘When that day comes,’ says the Lord, ‘you will call me ‘my husband’ instead of ‘my master.’”
1 Timothy 2:13 “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
John 15:1-2 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”
“takes away” (Airo) :— to raise up, elevate, lift up, to raise from the ground, take up, to raise upwards, elevate, to take upon one’s self and carry what has been raised up…
“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He lifts from the dirt …”
Elevates … turns your face to Him.
1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails.”
Two Ways To Have A Great Marriage:
1. Do Everything Right
2. Pursue The Pathway Of Hope
Job 14:7-9 (NLT) “Even a tree has more hope! If it is cut down, it will sprout again and grow new branches. Though its roots have grown old in the earth and its stump decays, at the scent of water it will bud and sprout again like a new seedling.”
No matter what may have come against your relationships or your relationships with God … There is always a PATHWAY of HOPE!
There is the scent water. Your direction is more important than your location.
Don’t change and I’ll love you — Let Love alone be the cause of transformation.
1 Peter 4:8 “And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘Love will cover a multitude of sins.’”
I’ve failed over and over again.
But God keeps on picking me up!!!
I’ve failed Cheryl but we keep ;looking for the day of hope!!!
Romans 2:3-4 “And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”
1 John 4:10-11 “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
1 John 4:19 (NLT) “We love each other because he loved us first.”
If you feel like you have to earn forgiveness form God; you will expect others to earn forgiveness from you.
1 John 2:1-2 (Message) “I write this, dear children, to guide you out of sin. But if anyone does sin, we have a Priest-Friend in the presence of the Father: Jesus Christ, righteous Jesus. When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good—not only ours, but the whole world’s.”
John 15:13 “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 19:30 “When Jesus had tasted it, he said, ‘It is finished!’”
“kalah”:— finished, bride, Come forth my BRIDE!!!
Hosea 3:5 “In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the Lord and of his goodness.”
Hosea 14:4 “I will heal you of your faithlessness and my love will know no bounds.”
