Health Hacks — 21 Days To A Healthier You, Shake if Off.

Day #1

Health and healing is God’s will for you. We want to have a time of intentional, focused attention on this revelation in God’s Word. We want you to see it in the Word and to hear about how it has been experienced by people that are close to you in this fellowship.

3 John 2
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

We are not only called to experience health and healing in our own lives but we are to contend for the manifestation of this truth all around us. The GO of the great commission calls us to confront the enemy of sickness and disease wherever it raises its ugly head.

Matthew 10:8
“GO … Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

One thing I practice in my personal life is to “Shake Off” any manifestation of sickness or disease immediately in Jesus Name before it can take hold in my life. That’s why I love this story about Apostle Paul and how he handled a poisonous snake bite. “He shook off the creature into the fire.” Look at the passage below.

 Acts 28:1-9
“1 Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. 2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold. 3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” 5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. 6 However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god. 7 In that region there was an estate of the leading citizen of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us and entertained us courteously for three days. 8 And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. 9 So when this was done, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed.”

4 Observations From Text.

1.  Bad things can happen to good people
“…a viper driven out by the heat.”(28:3)
None of us are beyond experiencing and attack on our bodies. It happens. Don’t allow yourself to get into a cycle of self condemnation thinking you have brought this on yourself. God will heal you because He is good and has qualified you to embrace every benefit of being His child.

2.  You will have lots of people share their opinion
“When the islanders saw…they said to each other.”  (28:4)
Don’t get bogged down in the negative opinions of others. Turn to Jesus alone. Stand firmly on His Word and don’t be moved.

3.  An Attack will stir up your faith
“But Paul shook the snake off…” (28:5)
Release your faith. God is ready and willing to come through for you. Only believe!

4. Your breakthrough will bring freedom to others
“…the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.” (28:8)
It He did for you then He will be faithful to others. They will gain confidence to approach God based on your testimony. The woman with the issue of blood heard about what Jesus was doing for others. She then released her faith and went after her healing. Her faith resulted in full deliverance from her affliction.

Stay with us for the next 21 days. Lets create a culture of Divine Health and wellness.

Blessings All!

So neat that Paul’s healing was the gateway for others on the island to experience healing. I can see all of us experiencing a healing that becomes a gateway for others in our lives to experience healing. Let there be a domino effect of healing!!

I love that there is both a fulfilled promise (Nothing shall by any means hurt you.) and a fulfilled commision (Go in my name…heal the sick.) in this event. And I love that it doesn’t say “some of the sick” were healed. So instructive! So encouraging! Thank you!

I love that our pastor cares about this topic just as Jesus does and wants to see us well. I have printed this off as I will the rest of the teachings and have replaced many references of “you” with my personal name. Am very expectant!! Bless you Ps Karl!!

Psalm 68:19 says, “What a glorious God! He gives us salvation over and over, then daily he carries our burdens!” Not only that but He forgives all our sin and heals all our sickness (Psalm 103:3).
Thanks be to God for He is our good, good Father, Saviour and Healer!

I got to work this morning and found out some news from a close colleague that her father has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I’m so devastated for her and her family. This Health Hack has really helped me to tell her that me and my church family are praying for her, that we believe God continues to heal and my pastor is currently preaching on a series about health and healing. I let her know that I am praying and we will be praying for her. I cannot wait to see a miracle. I pray for continued opportunities to pray for her and her family, talk about the love of God and his desire to heal us and be a witness to her of God’s everlasting love and ability to heal. Lord, help me to be focussed on the important things and give me the courage to speak the truth.
