Easter 2022 — Jesus Is Enforcing His Resurrection 

A man, his wife, and his cranky mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land. While they were there, the mother-in-law passed away.

The undertaker told them, “You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150”.

The man thought about it for a while and told the undertaker he would just have her shipped home.

The undertaker asked, “Why…. why would you spend $5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home when it would be wonderful to be buried here and spend only $150?”

The man said, “A man died here about 2000 years ago. He was buried here and three days later, he rose from the dead.”

“I just can’t take that chance.”

John 20:1-9 Now the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” 3 Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the [a]handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not [b]know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

John 19:30  “When Jesus had tasted it, he said, ‘It is finished!’ (Paid In Full!!!) Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.”

Revelation 21:6 “And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.’”

It is finished!  But I’m not done yet.

I will still be working towards a specific end.

Jesus is alive and at work today bringing into manifestation His new creation!!!

Mark 16:20 “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.”

GREAT COMMISSION

1. He’s Restoring Lives
John 20:16 “Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him…Master.”   

Mark 16:7 “…tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee:”

Luke 24:13-15  “…walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jerusalem. … In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them.”

2. He Walks Through Locked Doors

John 20:26 “Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, 

‘Peace be with you.’”

3. He Performs Miracles 

John 21:6 “And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”

5. He Pours Out His Spirit 

Acts 2:32-33 “This Jesus God has raised up, …and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.”

6. He Builds His Church

Acts 9:5 “And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

7. He Still Has The Keys

Revelation 1:18  “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

Revelation 3:7  

“He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”

8. He’s Coming Back Again 

Revelation 22:12-13 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” 

John 11:25-26  (Message) 

“You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?”
