10 Days of Prayer — Day #3 “TOUCH”

We are going through the book of Mark together over the next few months. I hope you have been reading and soaking in Gospel with us.
I love this encounter Jesus had with the leper. Just one touch changed his whole life. It’s a difficult time if touch is your love language. All this physical distancing is hindering the flow of healthy endorphins that can be obtained though a good hug. So those who you can touch … give them a hug right now. Those you can’t, find a meaningful way to encourage them.
Mark 1:40-42 (TPT)
On one occasion, a leper came and threw himself down in front of Jesus, pleading for his healing, saying, “You have the power to heal me right now if only you really want to!” 41 Being deeply moved with tender compassion, Jesus reached out and touched the skin of the leper and told him, “Of course I want you to be healed—so now, be cleansed!” 42 Instantly his leprous sores completely disappeared and his skin became smooth!
Matthew 8:14-15
“Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.”
Matthew 9:20-22
“…a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’ … And the woman was made well from that hour.”
Mark 6:56
“Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.”

Touch is the first sense we acquire and the secret weapon in many a successful relationship.
If you’re close enough to touch, it’s often the easiest way to signal something, … We feel more connected to someone if they touch us…”
University of Miami School of Medicine’s Tiffany Field, director of the Touch Research Institute, has linked touch, in the form of massage, to a slew of benefits, including better sleep, reduced irritability, and increased sociability among infants—as well as improved growth of preemies.

Crack babies in New York City … Die from lack of physical touch.
More recent studies have found that seemingly insignificant touches yield bigger tips for waitresses, that people shop and buy more if they’re touched by a store greeter, and that strangers are more likely to help someone if a touch accompanies the request. Call it the human touch, a brief reminder that we are, at our core, social animals. “Lots of times in these studies people don’t even remember being touched. They just feel there’s a connection, they feel that they like that person more,”
Mark 10:13-16
“Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; … And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.”
Jesus touch was a powerful touch!
1 John 4:17 “…because as he is, so are we in this world.”
How is He right now? He is reigning and ruling. He is seated and victorious.
How are we right now?
Mark 16:17-18 “…those who believe … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
PRAYER DIRECTIVES:
We want divine health to be our new normal. If your sick be healed in Jesus Name!
Get it very clear in our spirit that Jesus says: “Of course I want you to be healed!”
Revelation on healing to grow in all of our hearts and minds.
Pray for for our small groups to be harvest vehicles.
Love to be the culture for freedom and healing to flow.
Pray for Pastor Karl … Just because!!!
Pray the Lord of the harvest send out labourers.
Pray for growth and expansion and influence for Impact Church. (New Home or Homes)
Pray for the London to be filled with the Goodness (GLORY) of God.
Touch Someone In A Meaningful Healing Way … You are a dispenser of Heavenly Favour!
So good! I spent some time this morning praying for loved ones who need a “touch.” I’ll be praying the rest of the directives throughout the day.
Praying for all the promises of God to become the new normal for all of Christ’s followers.
Praying for everyone at Impact to unleash God’s healing power in the world around them.
Praying for growth and expansion, for a home big enough to contain everyone coming to hear about the goodness of God.
Amen!

Great insight to the power of physical connection especially in this time of fear and uncertainty. The world tells us that our touch may infect or contaminate leading to sickness and death. The God of Glory in us is seeking to contact those around us with His love, His health and His power! Let us be bold today to reach out with Jesus’ compassion and power to bring life to all those we encounter.
Father, I thank you for our new church home and your faithful leading in our discovery of where it is and what it looks like!
Praise the Name of Jesus for this new day. You are the Bread of Life , the name of Jesus has everything thing that is needed in this life.
We are so thankful for Your touch upon our lives , that we can be dispensers of Your life wherever we go.
We pray for healing touch on all the impact families that are sick in body.
We impart your favor and breakthrough where it is need.
We pray for wisdom and strength for Ps Karl.
More workers in the vineyard, and an abundance of souls in the kingdom.
Declare greater things ahead for the new impact home , more Lord.
Thank you Jesus so much the healing power of touch! I pray for the ones who have not experienced a healing touch and the ones who need it, I pray that they would come into contact with you Jesus. I pray for community and healthy family for the ones who do not have <3 That everyone would have someone. In Jesus name amen.
Thank you Jesus for your touch! We pray that all would be utterly persuaded of your love, desire, and ability to heal.

According to your word, Lord, we ask you, the Lord of the harvest to send out your laborers! Confirm your Word with signs, wonders, and miracles!
Let healing flow through your church and may you alone receive all the glory, honor, and praise!
