Day 10 of 10 Days of Prayer (Jan. 2021)
Day 10 of 10 Days of Prayer – Connect
By: Zach Sloane
Thanks for joining us on our ten days of prayer!
Praying together every morning has really been cool to see other people, maintain connection and interaction with people I know and love and worship with. We’ve got a great opportunity coming up to do more of this.
Impact Groups start this week. They’re all on zoom, and the link will be mailed out on Monday, and you can also get them by signing up for a group on the church website.
Groups are a big deal, and staying connected is vital.
Brene Brown on Connection:
“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
When you feel seen, heard, and valued, and you’re able to provide that for others, we get sustenance and strength.
Ephesians 4:15-16
“…but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Some great advice for the season we are in and something to pray about from Hebrews.
Hebrews 10:23-25
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Let’s Pray:
- Let’s pray for healthy, strong vibrant connections and relationships.
- Let’s pray for those who are feeling isolated and lonely, and for strategy to reach out and bring them into community.
- Let’s pray for our group ministry and dynamic powerful times together.
- Let’s pray for ways to encourage one another to maintain good healthy meeting habits, and that a passion to connect and stay connected would prevail in times when isolation is easy.
