Day 1 of 10 Days of Prayer

Prayer for our children as they go back to school.
Praying for your kids is important and declaring the word of God over them is powerful. Just as God framed the world with His words, we can help frame the world of our children by speaking and praying the word of God over them.
Barbara Billet said, “When you speak God’s Word over your child’s life, God’s Word will bring order into his or her life just as God did when He spoke in Genesis 1:3, let there be light and there was.”
When you pray for your children you will find that fear turns into faith, and faith produces hope. It doesn’t matter what your kids are facing, even if they are going through a time of rebellion, we have the power in the word of God to reframe their world!
Prayer Points, today we want to:
- Cover our kids in prayer before they start school
- Pray they make wise decisions in the things they face
- Pray for favor in relationships, in their studies and their dreams & desires
- Believe that the blessings of Abraham are running & overtaking them
- Pray God’s protection over them
- Declare that they will be a shining light in dark places
Some scriptures to pray over our children:
Isaiah 54:13-14 We declare today that our children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be their peace. In righteousness they will be established, they will be far from oppression and shall not fear! No terror will come near them.
Psalms 91:11 Today we believe that the Lord will give His angels charge over our children, and keep them in all their ways.
2 Timothy 2:22 We declare that our children will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace!
Proverbs 3:4 We declare our kids will find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
Love all our Impact kids! Praying for them to have a great impact this year. May they be a tremendous blessing to their teachers and friends. They are blessed to excel at everything they put their hands to. They are our future leaders and world shakers. Thank you for them all Lord. They are being thrust out to manifest Your Kingdom and Your Glory!!!

I vividly remember my first day of Kindergarten and the fear I experienced as a young child heading off to school for the first time. Somehow I managed to hide under the teacher’s desk until an opportune time when I was able to sneak away and go home. When I arrived home I was so relieved — until my father took me by the hand and walked me right back to school. All these years later I can still feel the reassurance that came as I walked hand in hand with my father through that school of fear.
So Heavenly Father, we declare Your favour and protection over our children as they go back to school this morning. May they know that you are walking with them and they are secure and safely held in the palm of Your hand. We declare that as they walk with you all fear and anxiety must go. Thank you, Lord, for walking with our children this day and every day of their lives. In the precious name of Jesus…
God’s Word will bring order into the their lives – love that Sheryl! Psalm 112 says our children will be successful everywhere. I’m praying for all of our students and Impact Kids today.
I declare this over all my grandchildren!
Thank you Father, that you have promised to never leave us nor forsake us, that you are with us always. I look to John 10.29&30 that say no man shall pluck them out of my Father’s hand, so Father we trust you to keep our kids, grandkids and church kids safe as they go about their days in school, keeping them all close to your heart, in Jesus’ name!
Thank you Father, that we are not just sending our children and grandchildren to school but rather launching them with purpose and force into their destiny as world changers and champions for the Kingdom! We declare favour, success and gracious influence over them and through them from this day forward. Many will be blessed because of them. We surround them with Your peace and abiding presence in the mighty name of Jesus!
I declare the scriptures above over our kids and grand children, Impact kids, and all London City kids!!!
“Transforming Lives to Impact Their World,” that’s what we are helping our children to do as they grow up when we pray and declare God’s word over our kids!
Impact Kids are AWESOME! They make the right decision in every situation they face! They are completely covered and protected by the Father! Impact kids have incredible relationships that build them up! They have favor everywhere they go and shine Jesus! Impact kids are uniquely smart! They are LOVED!
Father thank You for our children and the promise of Your Spirit and blessing. We declare over them the promise of the Holy Spirit giving them life and making Himself abundantly manifest to them in every dry or barren place. To our kids, He is living water everywhere they go. We speak identity over our kids and the clear revelation of themselves as being Yours’, belonging to You, identifying themselves as Your people, and we thank You for Your grace to make it known in each of their hearts, even at the youngest of ages, in Jesus name.
“I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants and My blessing on your offspring; they will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses. One will say ‘I am the Lord’s’; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; another will write on his hand ‘The Lord’s’, and name himself by the name of Israel.” Isaiah 44:3-6
Father, your word says that you inhabit the praises of your people, hear this praise! Hear your word declared! It does not return to you void! These faith filled words will manifest to your praise and glory! Thank you for the tools to prosper and the wisdom to wield them. May all your children and ours be filled with wisdom and understanding to dominate every situation! We are so advantaged!
