Jesus rode a donkey to town this day

JOKE Front Seat A policeman in the big city stops a man in a car with a donkey in the front seat. “What are you doing with that donkey?” He exclaimed, “You should take it to the zoo.” The following week, the same policeman sees the same man with the donkey again in the front seat, with both of them wearing sunglasses. The policeman pulls him over. “I thought you were going to take that donkey to the zoo!” The man replied, “I did. We had such a good time we are going to the beach this weekend!”

NOTICE THE CROSS ON THE BACK OF THE DONKEY … Created for a purpose.

The beginning of passion week.
Jesus is entering a head on collisions with His opposition.
The week begins with the crowd singing Hosanna.
In four days they will scream crucify him!
In seven days He will rise from the dead in victory.

Hosanna:– from two words, (save liberate) and (now beseech): we beseech you save us, liberate us, now!
The people of Israel had been taught that One would come and bring freedom from all oppression.
Didn’t meet their expectations.

The feast of Passover:
Today they brought the sacrifice (LAMB) for inspection.
Today they got rid of the leaven.
Today Jesus came for inspection.
Today He cleansed His temple.
Today He begins His final approach to secure FREEDOM FOR ALL!

Exodus 12:3  (First Passover) ‘‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.’”
John 1:29 “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

The Father does not inspect you He inspects His Son. “The Lamb of God”
He is PERFECT! You are PERFECT!
2 Corinthians 5:19 “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them.”

Colossains 3:3  “…your life is hid with Christ in God.”
Hid:– (Apokruphos) to hide concealing, keeping secret.
Paul had a clear revelation of our life being identified with Christ. You are perfect …  complete in Him.

Exodus 12:15  “Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.”

Luke 12:1 “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.”   After a list of WOE’s
Matthew  21:12-17 “Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold …Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.”

Galatians 5:8-10 “ This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.”   Paul was concerned about religions performance … works

Hebrews 10:14  “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”
When you accept Jesus as your saviour the Father declares you perfect!!!

Galatians 3:27  (NLT) “And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.”
(Message) “Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobeChrist’s life, the fulfillment  of God’s original promise.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,  all things have become new.”
