Bootcamp Series #8 “Distinguish”

Series: “Preparing To Posses The Promises”  Sermon #8 “Distinguish”

Are there things we can do  NOW  to prepare for what’s NEXT.

Joshua 5:10

“Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover.”

Two Sacraments:

Circumcision — Baptism

Passover — Communion

Colossians 2:11-12

“…by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism…”

1 Corinthians 11:24-25

“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Joshua 5:12-15

“Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him,…

“Are You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him,

“What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.”

You can’t do any God authorized stuff without being identified with Him.

Exodus 33:15 (The Message)

“Moses said, ‘If your presence doesn’t take the lead here, call this trip off right now. How else will it be known that you’re with me in this, with me and your people?’”

John 3:3

“Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”

John 5:19

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.’”

Acts 1:4

“He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me;’”

2 Types of Jesus Encounters:

1. Jesus Initiates  John 5:1-15

“He said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?’”

2. We Initiate     John 4:46-54

“…he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son.”

Hebrews 10:19-21 (AMP)

“So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.”
