Dominion:– dominance or power through legal authority; Sovereign or supreme authority.

God always finds someone who He can work through to bring His people back to Himself.
1 Kings 18:17 “When Ahab saw him, he exclaimed, ‘So, is it really you, you troublemaker of Israel?’”

1. Their Origins
1 Kings 17:1 “And (Now) Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

Malachi 4:5 “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers.”

Luke 1:17 “He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

2. Established In Covenant
1 Kings 17:2-7“Go from here and turn east and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan. You shall drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there … he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith”

Cherith:– cutting. (Root) to cut a covenant. God is a covenant keeping God.
Before you confront the prophets of baal and call down fire from heaven you must understand covenant truth.
A Working Revelation Of The New Covenant Is A Must! GOOD NEWS!!!
3. Function In Community
1 Kings 17:9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” Zarephath:– refinery, to smelt, to refine, to test and prove true. Private goes public. Manifest the impossible in community.

1 Kings 17:24 “By this I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth.”
Know covenant keeping God. Know minister life and release to souls caught in a death grip. Flour, Oil, resurrection!

4. Embrace Difficult Assignments
1 Kings 18:1, 17 “‘Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.” … Ahab said to him, ‘Is that you, O troublemaker of Israel?’” Put yourself in uncomfortable situations!!!

5. Manifest Confidence In God
1 Kings 18:21 “And Elijah came to all the people, and said, ‘How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.’ But the people answered him not a word.”

We Don’t Know What To Do!!!

1 Kings 18:38-39 “Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, ‘The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!’”

6. Calls Down The Rain
1 Kings18:41-46 “…prayed with his face between his knees. Then he said to his servant, ‘Go and look out toward the sea.’ The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, ‘I didn’t see anything.’”

vs 41“…there is the sound of abundance of rain.”
You have the Word but there is no evidence. Realm of the Spirit Word precedes sight!!! (Word travels Faster)
You know how to hang on …. 7x’s Jericho… Naamanin the Jordan 7x’s

7. Face Counterattacks
1 Kings 18:2-3“So Jezebel sent this message to Elijah: ‘May the gods strike me and even kill me if by this time tomorrow I have not killed you just as you killed them.’ Elijah was afraid and fled for his life.”

God Is Committed To You 1. Comfort– refreshed with the word and the Spirit
2.Correction – “What are you doing here?” 3. Commission–“Go return on your way…” God Chases You Down

8 Finish Well
1 Kings 19:15-16“Go back the same way you came, and travel to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive there, anoint Hazael to be king of Aram. Then anoint Jehugrandson of Nimshi to be king of Israel,…”

Jehu:– Jehovah is He or, He will __________. Jehu removed Jezebel and Ahab
—A Warrior Spirit — Exposes Deception — Inspires Action
2 Kings 10:16“…come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.”

9. Release The Next Generation
1 Kings 19:19“So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him.”

2 Kings 2:9
“When they came to the other side, Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Tell me what I can do for you before I am taken away.’ And Elisha replied, ‘Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit and become your successor.’”
