Joshua 1:2-3 “Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you.’”

Joshua 5:12 “Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.”

15 Observations For Transition
1. Association
Joshua 1:1 “Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ minister (servant)”
Water seeks its own level. Go deeper! You get around people who challenge you.

2. Elimination
Joshua 1:2 “Moses My servant is dead.” Release the past!!! Good or Bad
Philippians 3:13“I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.”

3. Saturation
Joshua 1:5 “…so I will be with you;…” Joshua practiced soaking time.
Exodus 33:1“…but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”

John 14:17-18 “He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth … But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.”

4. Meditation
Joshua 1:8 “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”
Confess the Word over your life. Meditate:— (Hagah) to mutter, to speak, to devise, to plot

5. Prognostication
Joshua 2:1“Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” Joshua 6:2 “See! I have given Jericho into your hand,”
Ra’ah:- perceive, cause to see
Two Primary Results of Recon: 1. Confidence– Fear Us 2.Compassion– Help

6. Incubation
Joshua 3:1-2“…and lodged there before passing over. So it was, after three days”
Don’t act on half-baked ideas. Soak your plans.
Isaiah 64:4“…any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”

7. Articulation
Joshua 3:9-10 “Come near, hear the words of the Lord your God … By this you shall know”
Get a clear specific written vision. Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,…”

8. Activation
Joshua 3:15-16“…the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river’s edge, the water above that point began backing up a great distance away at a town called Adam”

9. Identification
Joshua 5:2“At that time the Lord told Joshua, Make flint knives and circumcise this second generation of Israelites.’ So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the entire male population of Israel at Gibeath-haaraloth.”
Gilgal:— to roll back or away.

Why circumcision? 1. Cuts to root of IDENTITY. Is it boy or a girl? Who are you?
2. Cuts to root of PRIVACY. Nothing is hidden form the Lord.
3. Cuts to root of CREATIVITY. Nothing of Divine origin is produced without the touch of God.

10. Exaltation
Joshua 4:14 “On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.”
Joshua 6:27 “So the Lord was with Joshua, and his reputation spread throughout the land.”

11. Presumption
Jericho they sought God’s plan! Joshua has the encounter with the man with the sword
Joshua 7:3 “There’s no need for all of us to go up there; it won’t take more than two or three thousand men to attack Ai. Since there are so few of them, don’t make all our people struggle to go up there.”

The Anatomy Of Contradiction
Presumption“…small … do not weary…” Ruin“Ai struck …chased … Shebarim” Breakdown “Why … your name is being dishonoured…” Your defeat is not God’s defeat. Blame God for our disconnects OR others issues

12. Frustration
Joshua 7:6, 10-11 “Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until evening,…” “So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face? Israel has sinned.”

13. Authentication
Joshua 9:14-15 “So the Israelites examined their food, but they did not consult the Lord. Then Joshua made a peace treaty with them and guaranteed their safety, and the leaders of the community ratified their agreement with a binding oath.”

Exercise Of Covenant:
1. My enemies are yours 2. My needs are yours 3. My problems are yours 4. My resources are yours
When you honour who you are in Christ even when mistreated you most manifest your true identity.

14. Demonstration
Honouring the covenant led to displacing 5 kingdoms:
1. King Of Jerusalem PEACE 2. King Of Hebron UNION 3. King Of Jarmoth AUTHORITY
4. King Of Eglon ANOINTING 5. King Of Lachish INVICIBLE

Joshua 10:25 “Then Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.”

Isaiah 26:12-14 “They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish.”

15. Substantiation
Joshua 14:6-15“…but I wholly followed the LORD my God. So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’”

Hebrews 11:1 {Darby}
“Now faith is [the] substantiating of things hoped for, [the] conviction of things not seen.”
Substantiate:–to make real or concrete; give reality or substance. Faith is the substance of things!
Embrace your inheritance for real!

Joshua 21:45 “Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.”

Joshua 24:31 “The people of Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him—those who had personally experienced all that the Lord had done for Israel.”

Judges 2:8-10“Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of 110. They buried him in the land …After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.”
