John 16:7,13“It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I wil send Him to you … However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;…”

ADVANTAGE:— (Noun) any state, circumstance, opportunity, or means specially favourable to success, interest, or any desired end.

Jesus didnʼt do any supernatural acts without Holy Spirit.
The Spirit: “came upon Him” Luke :(21-22 “led (drove) Him” Luke 4:1 “empowered Him” Luke 4:14 “anointed Him” Luke 4:18-21

Any experience you have ever had with God is by the Spirit. Ephesians 2:18
“Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.”

Holy Spirit, Holy:— (Hagios) a most holy thing, a saint Spirit:— (Pneuma) a movement of air, a gentle blast, of the wind, hence the wind itself, breath of nostrils or mouth.

John 14:23“If a person [really] loves Me…We will come to him and make Our home {mone} (abode, special dwelling place) with him.” A parakletos is an intensely, intimate, and personal friend. He’s a personal adviser, aide-de-camp, special consultant or private assistant to an emperor.

“Comforter”(Parakletos):– called to one’s side
Para:– along side of, a close intimate relationship. {Parasite}
Kletos:– pleading with, speaking to, called to discharge an office.
I am the Holy Spiritʼs personal calling. He is to come along side me as my personal coach.

Embrace Holy Spirit: He Is God He Is A Person He Is Our Helper

John 14:16 (AMP)“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.”
Another:– allos not heteros — EXACTLY THE SAME IN EVERYWAY

The Godhead:— Father, Son and Holy Spirit
TRINITY:— God is one in essence and three in person. These definitions express three crucial truths: (1) the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons, (2) each Person is fully God, (3) there is only one God.

Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are co-equal, coessential and co-eternal. They are also distinguishable or distinct from one another. These three distinct Persons are the one God. Everything that is true about God is true about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Nicene Creed “We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.”

Westminster Confession of Faith “The Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity, proceeding from the Father and the Son, of the same substance and equal in power and glory, is, together with the Father and the Son, to be believed in, loved, obeyed, and worshiped throughout all ages.”

B. He Is A Person What constitutes a person?
Person:– A living being. The composite of characteristics that make up an individual personality; the self.

Personality:– The pattern of collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of a person. (A Soul) What Is A Living Soul Mind:— thinking Will:— desires Emotions:—feelings

God the Father has a soul.
Matthew 12:18 “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased!”

God the Son (JESUS) has a soul.
Matthew 26:38 “Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.’”

God the Holy Spirit has a soul.
Hebrews 10:29, 38 “…and insulted the Spirit of grace? … Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Divine Attributes
Omniscience:– All Knowledge Thinking Mind
Omnipotence:– All Power Will Exert His influence
Omnipresence:– All Present He is felt wherever he goes … see hear touch taste

1. Holy Spirit Thinks 1 Corinthians 2:10-16
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the thingsthat have been freely given to us by God.” Spirit what do you think about this?

2. Holy Spirit Has A Will Acts 16:6
“Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden (To exert will) by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.” He will reveal will of God. Ask Him what he wants to do.

3. Holy Spirit Has Emotions
Ephesians 4:30“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.Don’t choose to act independently of Him.” Love others don’t Mistreat others.

C. He Is Our Helper — He Work In Us — His Work Described By Jesus

Romans 8:26-27“…Spirit alsohelpsin our weaknesses …. but the Spirit Himself makesintercessionfor us with groaningswhich cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

Helps(Sunantilambanomai):– to lay hold along with, to strive to obtain with others, help in obtaining to take hold with another. {compound word}
sun:– partnership, joint effort anti:– against, filled with rage lambano:– to take to oneself, remove

Position“Sun”:– partnership, joint effort What we do together. A help that demands my cooperation.

Romans 15:19“They were convinced by the power of miraculous signs and wonders and by the power of God’s Spirit. In this way, I have fully presented the Good News of Christ”

Passion“anti”:– against, filled with rage The Holy Spirit is vents an attitude of rage or violence towards our enemies.
Isaiah 59:19“When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”

Purpose“lambano”:– to take to oneself, remove He permanently separates us from the weakness.
2 Samuel 10:6“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.”

Supernatural Partnership
Intercession:– “Huperentugchano” to make intercession for one. Compound Word
huper:– on behalf en:– in, with tugchano:– to hit the mark, to meet

Groanings:– “Stenagmos” to aspirate, to vent deep feelings.
The Holy Spirit comes in andblows his top. Words can’t express the passion. His zeal begins to rub off on you.

Searching:– “Ereunao” to search a matter out.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10“…for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” Eureka “I found it!”
The Spirit brings into manifestation what is lacking for God’s purpose to be expressed.

His Work Defined By Jesus John 16:8
“When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:” (NLT)
“And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:” (NRSV)

“And having come, he will bring demonstration to the world, of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:” (Darby)
“When the Helper comes, he will show the people of the world how wrong they are about sin, about being right with God, and about judgment.”(ERV)

John 16:9“…of sin, because they do not believe in Me;…” Jesus is the cure to sin.
Romans 5:15 (NLT) “…But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.”

John 16:10 “…of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; …” Jesus did it right.
Romans 5:17“… those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life…”

John 16:11 “…of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” Satan is defeated.
Hebrews 2:14 “…that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,…”

GOOD NEWS!!! Jesus is the only cure to sin. He declares you righteous. Your accuser is destroyed.
