God needs you to pray!
John 16:23-24 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now (NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE) you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Praying On Purpose!

Posture Of Prayer
Luke 11:10 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Expect answers because it is His will that you RECEIVE, FIND and experience OPEN DOORS!!!
POWER OF WAITING!!!
Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
Isaiah 64:4 “Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
Psalm 62:5 “God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not?” (Message)
“My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.” (AMP)
“waiting” (kaw-vaw’) to bind together ,expect, look eagerly for, has affinity with a word that means “to entrench.”
God works for him that entrenches himself in Him.
The idea of waiting for God here is that of digging ourselves in to God. Getting wrapped up in God!
Mark 1:35 “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”
Psalm 27:5 “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
Matthew 6:6 “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
John 15:4, 7 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me … If (SINCE) you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
“Waiting for God is not laziness. Waiting for God is not going to sleep. Waiting for God is not the abandonment of effort. Waiting for God means first activity under command; second, readiness for any new command that may come; third, the ability to do nothing until the command is given.” G. Campbell Morgan
“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” A.W. Tozer
“Your image of God creates you.” Caroline Leaf Only to sit and think of God Oh what a joy it is To think the thought, to breathe the Name Earth has no greater bliss” F. W. Faber
MOVING FROM TRANSACTIONAL PRAYER TO MORE TRANSFORMATIONAL PRAYER!!!
Contemplation:— the action of looking thoughtfully at something for a long time.
“Contemplation is a long, loving, look at the REAL.” R. Rohr
“True contemplation not a psychological trick but a theological grace.” Thomas Merton
Dr. Leaf “God made us to take time each day to put all of our focus on HIM and our life. To think deeply about what is working, what is not working, and what needs to change. These moments of thinking deeply and reflection are one of the most powerful things we can do for our brains and our lives.”
Psalm 18:2 “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Evil Stronghold:– Demonically induced and possibly controlled pattern of thinking. A dwelling place that I have created or allowed to exist, which gives ground for demonic influence.
2 Corinthians 4:4 “Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe,…”
Stronghold:– Thought patterns that govern behaviour.
Repeat the pattern and the rut gets deeper until you develop seemingly uncontrollable behaviour. GOOD WAY!!!
“…your genes may provide the blueprint, but they hand over the control to the brain.” Dr. C Leaf
Think your way out of anything … Mind of Christ!!!
John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;”
The subconscious mind learns by repetition and not by logic. Add strong belief to what you focus on and it will have more impact.
Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Rumination works by chewing and swallowing in the normal way to begin with, and then regurgitating the semi-digested cud to re-chew it and so get the most food value out of it.
Rumination makes the half-digested food particles smaller, before they can go through the process of digestion.
Benefits Of Waiting
Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate (hagah – mutter) in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”
1. Waiting Brings Confidence
Psalm 27:1-3 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? …Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.”
2. Waiting Brings Joy
Psalm 27:4-6 “That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. …Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”
3. Waiting Secures Your Identity
Psalm 27:7-10 “Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” …When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me.”
4. Waiting you Experience Him
Psalm 27:13 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.” “[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!” (AMP)
