290 Sacraments

“Sacraments” Two living ordinances that we observe as a church.
Sacrament:– from Latin, oath of allegiance; A rite believed to be a means of or visible form of grace.
A deposit by two parties seeking to secure justice.
God – Grace Man – Faith
1 Corinthians 10:11 ESV
“Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.”
1 Corinthians 10:1-3
“For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, … same spiritual drink.”
Exodus 12:7-8
“Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.”
The Passover:
The Lamb On The Inside.
Colossians 1:27 “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The Blood Covering.
Revelation 1:5 “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,…”
Luke 22:19-20
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.ʼ Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.ʼ”
Covenant – a solemn agreement between two parties for the purposes of creating and maintaining a successful relationship.
You donʼt take communion, you receive communion.

Lords Table – Remember Me!
Not a call to commiserate his suffering or our sin, but a call to commemorate His triumph.

Hebrews 2:14
“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,…”
Baptism is not a ritual to be performed but a dynamic that must be a present day and continuous reality.
Matthew 28:19-20 “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…”
“Baptize”:– to immerse, to submerge, to bathe, to overwhelm, to pickle, to produce a permanent change.
Not just getting wet. An identification and a union with Christ that results in a genuine change.
Exodus 14:22-23
“So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaohʼs horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
Exodus 14:28
“Then the waters returned and covered all the chariots and charioteers—the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.”
Colossians 2:10, 12
“So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority … For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized … In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities.”
I have Jesus on the inside and His blood covers me.
I have been baptized into Christ. I am in union with Him.
Free from bondage
Free from accusation
Free from oppression
Jesus caused an exodus and brings you into FREEDOM.
