#279 Ugly Christmas Sweater Series# 3, Immanuel

Genesis 3:15  “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”   Just the Seed of the woman.

Genesis 5:3 “Adam had a son in his own likeness.”
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”

Colossians 2:9-10  “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
Galatians 3:27  “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

2 Corinthians 5:17  “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
1 Corinthians 3:16  “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

Matthew 1:18-25
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.”

Immanuel :— compound word,
(Imm) with, (Manu) us, (El) power of God, hero God, strong and powerful God. God with us! Literally with us is this strong God, powerful God.

Christmas is the Spirit of God colliding with the natural realm to manifest His glory in what can be seen.
Christ — the Anointed One, to smear , to rub, to pour. Mass — celebration or physical substance and weight.
He is rubbing of on you!

Christmas is a celebration of the consecration and smearing of all physical substance by the birth of Jesus, Christ, the Lord.   The UNION of Divinity with Humanity. God became flesh!
1 Corinthians 6:17  “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

Where is that prophetic word?
Isaiah 7:10-14 “Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, ‘Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above. But Ahaz said, ‘I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!’ Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! …”
“… Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
God’s committed to your complete victory and reconciliation.

God is with us!!! We are His dwelling place. We are His blessed Sons and Daughters.
Genesis 27:33 “I have blessed him? Yes, and he shall be blessed.”
Jacob left with nothing else … except the blessing!

Genesis 30:27 (AMP)  “And Laban said to him, If I have found favor in your sight, I pray you [do not go]; for I have learned by experience and from the omens in divination that the Lord has favored me with blessings on your account.”

Genesis 39:1-2 “Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man;…”

Joseph entered his masters house naked, without a thing.
Genesis 39:3  “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.”

Genesis 39:21  “But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

Genesis 39:23  “The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.”

2 Samuel 6:11 “The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.”

The presence of God makes all the difference!!!

2 Samuel 5:10 “So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.”
2 Chronicles 1:1 “Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and exalted him exceedingly.”

Galatians 3:9 “So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.”
Mark 16:20  “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.”

Acts 11:21  “And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.”

Acts 2:33  “Being therefore lifted high by and to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised [blessing which is the] Holy Spirit, He has made this outpouring which you yourselves both see and hear.”

God’s gift to you is Himself.
In any time of difficulty you can manifest faith because you know He has given you Himself.

God is with you!!!
Not your — Job, City, Religion, Marriage, Family, YOU!!!
Hebrews 13:5b “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
