#276 Now Is The Time!

Galatians 4:4-5
“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”

Romans 5:6
“For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

Ephesians 5:15-18 (NLT)
“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,…”

NKJV “… redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
ESV “making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
NIV “…making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

“Time” (kairos):— time as opportunity. (“opportune time”) as derived from kara (“head”) referring to things (“coming to a head”) to take full-advantage of. (“the suitable time”), the right moment a favourable moment”

A specific time that demands a wise response. A cosmic collision of the sacred and secular.
Where chronos is quantitative, kairos is qualitative. It measures moments, not seconds. Further, it refers to the right moment. The opportune moment. The perfect moment.

Impact:–The striking of one body against another; collision. The power of making a strong, immediate impression.
Matthew 5:14   “You are the light of the world.”

God’s favour is being released right now … In this generation. We have window of time that must be driven through by force.

1. Follow
John 10:27
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
Be believers that are followers.

2. Discover

“For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep…”

3. Connect
Ephesians 4:16
“… the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Ecclesiastes 4.9-12.
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm …”

4. Invite
2 Corinthians 5:20
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

5. Give
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

6. Serve
1 Peter 4:10
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
