When Light comes in contact with darkness … Light wins!!!

Austrian psychologist Carl Jung “Those psychiatrists who are not superficial have come to the conclusion that the vast neurotic misery of the world could be termed a neurosis of emptiness. DARKNESS Men cut themselves off from the root of their being, from God, and then life turns empty, inane, meaningless, without purpose.”

Genesis 1:2-3
“The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.  Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.”  

The first word God called for was LIGHT … Nothing lives without light! … not let there be love or Joy or peace … But LIGHT!

Isaiah 9:2, 6, 7, 9 “The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; … For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given; … Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, … The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
A prophetic declaration of future deliverance form the darkness … the incarnation … God becoming flesh!

Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

Luke 1:78-79   Prophecy of Zechariah John the Baptists Father
“…because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Ephesians 6:12
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Devil bad, God Good         
When Light comes in contact with darkness … Light wins!!!

Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
strong>1 John 4:4 “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Isaiah 40:5 “The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Number 14:21 “…but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.”          

Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.”
Isaiah 6:3 “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

Exodus 33:18-19  “‘Please, show me Your glory.’ Then He said, ‘I will make all My goodness pass before you,…’”   Moses asked to see God’s Glory and God equated His Glory with His GOODNESS!!

Psalm 86:5
“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”
Manifesting God’s Glory Is Manifesting God’s Goodness!    
When Light comes in contact with darkness … Light wins!!!

John 1:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.  (can never extinguish it. overcome it)
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.[
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own,[c] and His own[d] did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

3 Observations:
1. Light Confronts Darkness      —      Whether you want it to or not.
2. Light Equals Life        —      No Light – No Life Jesus is light!
3. Light Doesn’t Hesitate    —      He never holds back. He rushes into every dark place. “…Word became flesh and dwelt among us,…”

John 8:12  “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
All the darkness in the world cannot put out one candle flame.

God’s Commission to Paul Acts 26:17-18
“I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”

1 Peter 2:9  “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”

2 Corinthians 4:6  “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

John 12:36 “While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.”
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

James 1:17  “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”  COME TO THE LIGHT!

Jesus is the light. It is Jesus or darkness.   —       The world was made for HIS light.
Everyone in the world needs His light    —      The whole world will be filled with HIS light.

What defines you determines you.   Identity is the most important power that determines our actions. We will act according to our views of who we truly are—whether these views are accurate or not.
We are the light of the world!    When Light comes in contact with darkness … Light wins!!!
