1. Devil Wanted The Worship

“For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.”
Author of all selfishness.
QUESTION: When you look at a group picture that you are in … who do you look for first?
What do you do if you don’t like the picture?
No competition in the Godhead … Just honour and affection … You are either IN CHRIST or IN ADAM!
Ezekiel 28:12-16
“You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you “By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.
“Trading” :— merchandising, I get a cut off of a transaction, middleman, it didn’t all get through right place. Devil began to take some of the glory that was only to God. He became proud and God cast him out of His presence.
2. Devil Still Wants Worship.

Worship Has Benefits!!!
When we SURROUND OURSELVES with praise that glorifies God we are actively putting ourselves into the very presence of God. And God literally lifts us up and changes US, OTHERS and OUR CIRCUMSTANCES.
Article by Dr. Caroline Leaf
“Corporate worship has been shown to have health benefits. Regular church attendance is associated with a 30-35% reduction in the likelihood of death and a reduction in the probability of stroke.
In a major longitudinal study, those who do not attend church regularly have higher rates of death from circulatory, digestive and respiratory disorders … as people sing together in worship to God, as well as the beneficial effects of the heart, their heartbeats actually synchronize.”
University of Miami study on the progress of AIDS Dr. Gail Ironson found that:
“Turning to God rather than rejecting God appears to boost your immune system and stave off the disease nearly five times as effectively,…”
