Thank You Series# 2
Made For Worship — Relationship — Express Love!!!

God created some things and some things he made.
Create:— to form out of nothing … that is the God create …
Genesis 1:3 “God said,‘Let there be light’; and there was light.”
Make:— to form out of something else.
Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”

When God wanted to make something He spoke to where or what he wanted it to come from and be sustained by and to return to.
Earth do this and the earth did what it was told 

Genesis 1:11
“Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”
Tree comes from dirt, sustained by dirt and returns to dirt.

Genesis 1:20 “Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures,…”
Fish come from water , sustained by water, returns to water.

Genesis 1:24 “Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind:”
Cow came from earth, sustained by earth, back to earth.
Ice cream is reprocessed salad  Cow eats grass … processes grass and we get milk … Ice cream.

Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
My body was made from the earth, is sustained by the earth and will return to the earth.

1. We Come From God

Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;”

Man is spirit … He came from God, sustained by God, return back to God.
Man wasn’t made from the earth he came from God

If anything that was made from something, tries to remove itself from what it comes from, it will die.
Plant says I’m pulling out … I’m going to make it on my own … it will die … RELATIONSHIP MUST BE RETAINED!!!
Genesis 1:17 “…for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Live independent of God.  I am my own source. SELF   PURPOSE IS RELATIONSHIP!!!

Man continued to live in the flesh … but he died to his created purpose of relationship with God and reigning and ruling with God.
Ephesians 2:1 “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,…”
John 10:10  “…I have come that they may have life,…” 

Ephesians 2:4-7
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), … show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” 

2. We Are Like God 

God wants to express love and experience love.  God created us for relationship with Him.
Someone who He has to woo.  Someone who has a free will.
A Love that demands risk.  HE IS LOOKING FOR LOVERS!!!

Adam was looking for relationship.  Genesis 2:20 “But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.”
God made man “squeezed”    —    God formed woman “fashioned”
How did God know what man needed … because man was created in His image … he had a passion for a loving relationship. To express his great love … to manifest His great capacity to love!

Ephesians 5:25, 27, 32
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, …  that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, … This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

3. We’re Made To Love God

1 John 4:19 “We love Him because He first loved us.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Romans 5:17
“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
He reaches out to you … you accept … and it goes on and on!!!

Touch him and He will touch you back.  Tag … no touch backs. Woman with the issue of blood.
I didn’t get anything out of that. DID YOU TOUCH HIM!

Worship is touching God with love and affection. HE TOUCHES BACK.   Make a relational connection.
Worship is expressing your love to him!!!

Mark 5:28, 30
“For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
“And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
Touch Him … He Touches You!!! 

Revelation 21:2-3
“Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” 

Believers, The Church, the Bride of Christ is presented to Jesus at the end of the book.
The purpose for it all!!!
Revelation 19:7
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
