#180 The Powerful Blood

Colossians 1:13-14
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Remission: Forgiveness, Cancelation of penalty, Removal of guilt.

Colossians 1:20  “… and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”

Ephesians 1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”

True redemption is found exclusively through the blood of Jesus.

A working revelation of the blood of Jesus will give you ongoing access to the glory of God.

Where the blood of Jesus flows the Holy Spirit goes.

God designed man as a blood creation as a part of His eternal purpose.

Adam: {aw-dawm‘} a compound of to words. Blood and Ground. God designed man to be a blood creation. He put the life in the blood. He did this because of His eternal plan of redemption.

Jesus is the lamb slain from before the foundation of the world. Redemption through His Blood was
always His eternal plan!
Revelation 13:8    “…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Hebrews 9:7 “But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance;”
Hebrews 9:12 “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”

Old Testament deals with shadows. Priest went in to the temple. Jesus went to the throne of God.
Must have freaked the priest out when the temple veil was rent and he was in there.
He was poring out blood of a lamb … Jesus went to the throne and poured out His own blood

This is not to protect us from the wrath of God but to free us from the power of the devil.   Not Without Blood!
Revelation 12:10 “And they overcame him (Accuser) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

God is not mad at our failures and in need of killing someone.
He wants to eliminate the devil and the whole kingdom of darkness.
1 John 3:8
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

4 Important Truths Regarding The Blood

1. It Has To Be Blood
Why Blood?
Life is in the blood.
Lev. 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement
for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’”
No blood No forgiveness
Hebrews. 9:22 “… and without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

“I must die, or have somebody to die for me. If the Bible doesn’t teach that, it doesn’t teach anything. And that is where the atonement of Jesus Christ comes in!”        D.L. MOODY

2. It had to be Jesus Blood
Why Jesus’ Blood?
Precious Blood
1 Peter 1:18-19 “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your
aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot”
Blood of God
Acts 20:28 “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”

3. Jesus’ Blood Had To Be Shed
His body was given for you it was not taken. He laid His life down.
No one had the right. His shed blood declares your freedom.

7 places His body was torn open and each bleeding wound speaks on your behalf.
Sweat Drops Of Blood — He submitted to the Fathers will … so can we
Stripes He received 39 lashes. There are 39 known root diseases worldwide. JESUS paid for our      healing by His stripes.
Beaten and Bruised — He took every inner wound … any hidden pain
Crown Of Thorns — He took the curse … thorns … we can have abundant life NOW
Spikes In His Hands — Hand are for blessing … restore our authority to BLESS – Gate of heaven
Spike In His Feet — Restored Dominion … Every place our sole treads bring peace … Kingdom
Sword In His Side — His heart was broken so mine can be restored … betrayal wounds to heart.

4. The Blood Must Be Applied
Two Ways Blood Applied In O.T.:
1. Diffuse – Hyssop  – It would get everywhere.
Hebrews 9:19 “When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to     all the people, he took     the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and     branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll     and all the people.”

2. Directional – Finger – It would be very specific
Lev 16:14 “He shall take some of the bull’s blood and with his finger sprinkle it on the front of the lid and then
sprinkle some of it seven times in front of the Covenant Box.”

Luke 11:20 “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.”
Matthew 12:28  “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”
You have a legal right to the throne room by the blood.
Holy Spirit has a legal right to invade you by the blood.
How do you apply the blood>
Blood  —  Word of your Testimony!!!   I plead the blood!!!

Isaiah 43:25-26  KJV
“I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”

Revelation 12:10

The Blood Is Voice Activated
Hebrews 12:24
“…to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

The blood will speak by the power of the Spirit to every circumstance in your life!!!
You just have to agree with the proceeding word by getting it on your mouth.
